I have just recently completed a Diploma course in Chinese Studies at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in May 2010. The 3 years majoring in Chinese Studies has led me to have a better understanding of the Chinese language and the rich culture that it possess. As a student in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, I was trained to be an effective communicator whom is effectively bilingual through the trainings in modules such as Speech Communication in Chinese, Presentation Skills in Chinese, Fundamentals and Advanced Translations as well as Fundamentals of Interpretation.

In my third year of study, I spent one semester in Huazhong Normal University in Wuhan, China where I truly immerse in the Chinese Culture and really got me to love my own mother tongue even more. I hold the position of Vice Chief Editor during my stay in OVB. Besides crafting articles after attending media events, I too translated movie synopsis from English to Chinese for our Chinese readers. Attaching in OVB makes me realise I really love working in the media line and the experiences from OVB will, I believe, come a long way for me in the future to come.
