I am Andrew Tam Ka Pok, currently studying Master of Art in Philosophy in Durham University, United Kingdom, after graduated from Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Art in Philosophy. I have just return back to Hong Kong early this month. I have been studying in United Kingdom for nine month and therefore I am very confident with my speaking, reading, writing and listening in English.

Studying Philosophy requires a wide range of knowledge besides reasoning. Therefore I have developed my interest in Chinese literature writing, history, politics, culture studies and music composition, but my strength is Cantonese Chinese, religious studies, geography and economics, although philosophy is always my favourite subject. Just like Socrates, I am just a midwife helping students giving birth to their own skills and knowledge, instead of giving them model answers.

I am a native speaker of Cantonese and I can also speak Mandarin. I have several amateur projects on English to Chinese Languages translation, including the Cantonese versions of Anglican Missal (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1eSvyEro7Z-bENrUjVFcTN2WEk/edit?usp=sharing) and Book of Common Prayer (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1eSvyEro7Z-b3dLTGw0STdaV00/edit?usp=sharing), and a few hymns (for example, O Salutaris https://musescore.com/user/13028/scores/205886 and the Noble Joseph https://musescore.com/user/13028/scores/240956).

I am good at translating texts related to religious studies (particularly Anglican, Catholic and Orthodox), theology, philosophy, history, geography, economics and politics.
