I am currently studying at the University of Leeds towards an MA in Applied Translation Studies, and am looking for translation projects to give me the opportunity to gain experience and to develop professionally. In 2011, I graduated with a BA Joint Honours degree in French and German (grade 2.1) from the University of Liverpool, and I specialise in translating from these two languages into English.


During my undergraduate course, I especially enjoyed a German- English Translation module, and was regularly set texts to translate for my French modules. I learned to work quickly but carefully under pressure, to provide a suitable, accurate translation. This is something that I have so far been able to strengthen as a postgraduate, and I have also gained experience of translating as part of a team.


In the third year of my undergraduate course, I studied in France and Austria, via the Erasmus programme. After graduating, I worked as a Comenius Assistant in Germany, teaching English to primary school children. All of these experiences enabled me to use my language skills on a daily basis, in a range of both social and formal situations, and also to increase my intercultural understanding.


In addition, I have relevant administrative experience, having previously worked as a Project Manager Intern for a translation agency. This enabled me to build on my already-strong organisational skills, as maintaining the company
